Job Description

Due to emergent customer growth, one of the largest and fastest growing management services companies is now looking for a Customer Service Freight Representative. The salary for this position will commensurate upon experience, industry knowledge and the ability to help expand this department through strategic initiatives moving forward. The company offers a "very" comprehensive benefit platform after 30-days of employment.

The Customer Service Freight Representative is responsible for maintaining and cultivating both large and small client relationships while capitalizing on incremental and possible new business opportunities across the country. Some negotiating, renegotiating, sales techniques and extensive problem solving skills will be leveraged by phone or email on a continuous basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 2-year college degree or 4-years of progressive experience in customer service working directly with suppliers and vendors
- Experience in the trucking indusry a plus!
- Understands the principles of maintaining and retaining business relationships and required client service delivery and expectations

Working hours: 7am to 4pm (or) 8am to 5pm

Skills:
RESPONSIBILITIES:


--Communicates extensively with customers, vendors and internal departments by phone or email
--Coordinates both inbound/outbound customer service support with new and current customers
--Monitors shipments and prepares revisions when necessary based on changing shipper/s, customers and carrier needs
--Contacts carriers to obtain status of loads with continuous monitoring of shipments for on-time pick-up, transit and deliveries

KNOWLEDGE - EXPERTISE - PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

--A forward planner who critically assesses personal performance
--Holds a very high regard for phone, email etiquette and company professional standards
--Ability to leverage Excel and other MS programs, including Word and Outlook platforms
--A dedicated, loyal professional who studies and maintains detailed knowledge of all service lines and product offerings
--Extremely detail-orientated and organized
--Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator
--A hardworking, industrious professional that will work extended hours to meet required client service expectations and business opportunities
--Must possess the ability to work in a very busy - extremely team orientated environment
